Childcare Worker

The Carter Clinic is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic child care provider to join our team. This position will plan and implement activities that promote the social, emotional, cognitive and physical development of each child.

The Carter Clinic Employee Child Care Center is a private daycare that provides exceptional educational childcare experiences for the children of the Carter Clinic employees. This is a part-time, year-round program for infants through Pre-Kindergarten children.

Primary Responsibilities and Requirements:

• Supervision and practicing daily class routines
• Observes health and safety rules and regulations
• Maintains assessments and learning portfolios
• Implements lesson plans and daily classroom schedule
• Accepts responsibility for general housekeeping duties of the classroom
• Attends staff meetings, workshops and trainings that improve school functions
• Maintains professional personal appearance
• Assists in other capacities that Owner/Director determines is necessary

Desired skills and experience:

• Must have a HS diploma.
• 2 or 4 year degree in early childhood or related field preferred
• Previous teaching or assistant teaching position in a licensed early childhood program is preferred
• Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations
• Must be or willing to become First Aid certified
• Must be or willing to become CPR certified (specifically in Infant/Child)

Pay: $14.00 - $20.00 per hour
