About This Role
Caring for children of various ages, including infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and those with special needs, is the core of this role within a vibrant team. Responsibilities
- Provide attentive supervision and care for children in daycare, preschool, or home settings, ensuring their safety at all times
- Implement age-appropriate activities that promote learning, socialization, and emotional development
- Assist with daily routines such as feeding, diapering, nap times, and hygiene practices for infants and toddlers
- Support children with special needs by adapting activities and environments to meet individual requirements
- Maintain a clean, organized classroom or play area that encourages exploration and creativity
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about their child's progress, behavior, and any concerns
- Apply first aid procedures promptly when necessary and ensure adherence to safety protocols at all times
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in early childhood education
- Experience working with children across different age groups, including infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and children with disabilities
- Proficiency in classroom management techniques to foster positive behavior and engagement
- Ability to implement behavior management strategies effectively and compassionately
- Certification in first aid and CPR to ensure immediate response during emergencies
- Familiarity with special education needs and working with individuals with disabilities
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with families, colleagues, and children
- Passion for caregiving combined with patience, creativity, and a lively approach to child engagement
Nice to have:
- Prior experience in daycare settings, nannying, babysitting or classroom experience
