Childcare Worker

Summary/Objective:
As a member of the Childcare Team, the Childcare Worker will minister to families through ensuring the safety, security and supervision of children ages birth – 10 years old.

Responsibilities:

• Work alongside other staff and volunteers to ensure children are provided a safe and enriching environment.
• Engage in age-appropriate play consistent with the values and mission of the church.
• Sanitize toys and play equipment providing a clean and safe environment.
• Make sure rooms are clean, supplies put away and computers are closed out at the end of the event. Reset space to be ready for next event.
• Follow all childcare safety policies.
• Complete incident reports as directed by the event’s Childcare Lead.
• Follow appropriate children check in/out procedures.
• Interact with parents and children in a positive, safe, and consistent manner.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
Professional/Education

1. Must be 16+ years old.
2. Experience in childcare a plus.
3. Strong attendance record with past/current employment, if applicable.
4. Must be able to work as a team member.
5. Must be able to use logic and reasoning to solve problems.
6. Must possess excellent listening skills.
7. Must be flexible and willing to work where assigned.
8. Ability to think and act quickly during emergencies.
