Chief People Officer

About This Role

This Chief People Officer role is a pivotal leadership position at a rapidly growing digital platform, responsible for professionalizing and scaling the People function. The role involves evolving HR processes, tools, and operational models to support ambitious growth targets, including international expansion, while ensuring a high level of employee experience and business alignment.

Responsibilities

• Professionalize the People function by evolving processes, tools, and the operational model to sustainably support Vroomly's growth
• Build a data-driven People organization with reliable indicators, robust processes, and execution excellence to serve the business
• Support the company's growth ambitions by providing managers with simple, effective, and scalable HR practices
• Guarantee a high level of excellence within the People team
• Deliver a first-class employee experience
• Support key moments such as accelerated growth and country openings
• Design scalable, solid processes and policies aligned with business needs and company culture
• Take leadership of the People team, understanding strengths and weaknesses and designing the right team setup in line with business challenges (first 6 months)
• Understand the business before transforming (field challenges, manager needs, French and international ambitions, while immersing in the company culture) (first 6 months)
• Evolve processes and tools to support scaling (process improvement and automation, HR stack optimization, KPI implementation) (first 6 months)
• Secure recruitment to support growth (first 6 months)
• Develop a high-performing organization (managerial culture, career paths, team development, succession plans, and salary structure) (after one year)
• Support internationalization (standardization of efficient HR practices while considering local specificities) (after one year)

Requirements

• 10-15 years of experience as an HR Director or People Director
• Experience in companies with 250 to 500 employees, where structuring processes, tools, and the HR function was a major challenge
• Experience in demanding environments (Tech, logistics, transport, industry, services, etc.) where operational excellence, execution quality, and performance are central to the company culture
• Proven ability to design, deploy, and maintain robust HR processes covering the entire employee lifecycle (recruitment, onboarding, performance, compensation, development, offboarding)
• Proficiency in HR tools and a data-driven approach to management
• Ability to build a scalable HR organization by leveraging team expertise
• Recognized leader capable of supporting, developing, and uniting a multidisciplinary People team (Talent Acquisition, HRBP, People Operations, Office Management)
