About This Role
This executive leadership role is responsible for connecting and coordinating across various departments, ensuring clear accountability, and driving rapid project completion. The Chief of Staff will act as the CEO's cross-functional execution representative, allowing the CEO to focus on new strategic initiatives and business expansion.
Responsibilities
- Act as the CEO's cross-functional execution representative across Agriculture, Dairy, Marketing, Sales, IT, and Admin
- Convert CEO priorities into owners, deadlines, budgets, and measurable weekly plans
- Run cross-functional reviews and resolve dependencies without routine CEO intervention
- Make department managers own outcomes and hold them accountable for every commitment
- Drive execution aggressively at SmartAgro speed; prevent avoidable delays and repeated follow-ups
- Verify ground reality at site; do not depend only on reports
- Maintain one consolidated dashboard across all six functions, covering milestones, delays, cost, risks, and required decisions
- Escalate only major financial, legal, food-safety, land, reputation, or strategic matters
Requirements
- 8-12 years in business operations, Founders/COO Office, PMO, program management, or multi-site operations
- At least four years coordinating Operations, Marketing, Sales, IT, Admin, Finance, Procurement, HR, and vendors
- Experience reporting directly to a Founder, CEO, COO, or Business Head
- Strong MIS, ERP, dashboard, budgeting, and management-review capability
- Evidence of closing delayed or complex projects, not only monitoring them
- Willingness to relocate to and work primarily from Madakasira
- Readiness for a six-day workweek in a field- and execution-intensive environment
Nice to have:
- Backgrounds in Manufacturing, FMCG/food, dairy/agriculture, hospitality, real estate, infrastructure, or supply chain
Important Details
- Schedule: Six working days per week
- Permanent base: Madakasira
- Travel: Approximately 50-60% field verification, 30-40% reviews/closure, and 10% CEO alignment
- Workstation adjacent to the CEO Office; managers route routine operational matters through this role
- Manage Marketing, Sales, IT, and Admin from Madakasira through dashboards, structured reviews, and accountable owners
