Chief of Staff

About This Role

This Chief of Staff role is a critical right-hand position to the Founder and CEO, focusing on high-stakes initiatives, venture fundraising, and acting as a force multiplier across the leadership team. It suits an ambitious problem-solver who thrives in fast-moving, dynamic environments and is driven by a mission to improve patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end venture fundraising due diligence, including materials, data room, investor outreach, pipeline management, and follow-through
• Serve as the primary point of coordination between the CEO and prospective and existing investors
• Prepare board meeting materials, manage the board cadence, and ensure follow-ups are tracked and closed
• Draft investor updates, pitch narratives, and other strategic communications with precision and clarity
• Reduce CEO time on operational overhead by 30%+ by owning recurring processes, decision tracking, and stakeholder communication
• Lead cross-functional projects that span multiple teams, ensuring clarity of ownership, timelines, and outcomes
• Identify bottlenecks across the organization and build scalable processes to address them before they become problems
• Prepare the CEO for key meetings with background briefs, talking points, and follow-up documentation
• Own end to end preparation and execution for quarterly board meetings and mid-quarter check-ins
• Draft external communications on behalf of the CEO, including company-wide updates, partner communications, and thought leadership via a variety of social channels
• Ensure data and messaging is consistent and reflects the company's mission and values by creating a consistent framework for use by CEO and broader Leadership Team

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience, with a strong foundation in management consulting (McKinsey, BCG, Bain, or equivalent) and subsequent operating experience at a high-growth startup
