About This Role

This senior leadership role focuses on consumer acquisition in the UK and USA for a financial advice marketplace. The Chief Marketing Officer will own the long-term consumer marketing strategy, deliver critical financial targets, and enhance the customer experience to ensure valuable client connections. The role involves leading a team of marketing specialists and partnering with a global consumer squad to scale the business to significant revenue.

Responsibilities

• Deliver short and long-term consumer marketing KPIs through strategy, planning, execution, and capital allocation, balancing with quality metrics to ensure high-intent consumers reach customers
• Set strategy on AI chatbots, consumer agents, and other innovations to leverage organic traffic from web search, AI search, and agents as the largest and most evolving source of consumer demand
• Own consumer channels across paid search, paid social, video, partnerships, and affiliates, responsible for planning, capital allocation, creative pipeline, and channel management to achieve targets
• Own the US consumer marketing strategy, planning, and execution, focused on delivering step changes in performance through innovative use of channels, partnerships, and content
• Lead and develop the consumer marketing team, strengthen leadership, raise planning and operational standards, and use AI tools to enhance productivity and drive innovation

Requirements

• Experience running consumer acquisition with a budget of at least £20m a year across paid, partnerships, and organic, understanding the challenges of scaling consumer marketing while maintaining or improving unit economics
• Leadership in SEO and content functions, with a well-developed perspective on navigating consumer adoption of AI search, chatbots, and agents
• Experience leading consumer marketing at a consumer-to-business marketplace, or in consumer lead generation, balancing economics with lead quality
• Ability to build data-driven teams where measurement and experimentation drive decisions, comfortable using data to allocate investment, diagnose performance, and explain results to a board
• Bring high energy, positivity, and a strong self-starting attitude
• Comfortable stepping into complex environments, building relationships quickly, and creating momentum in teams and projects
