Chief Information Officer

About This Role

The Chief Information Officer (CIO) will own the establishment and execution of the enterprise-wide IT strategy, ensuring alignment with the business strategy. As a member of the extended leadership team, the CIO will contribute knowledge and expertise in current and future technologies, applying them to business model design, business process re-engineering, and product and service delivery to drive competitive advantage. This role will be key in modernizing the company’s operational effectiveness, improving shop floor automation, driving supply chain efficiencies, and developing workforce automation through technologies such as RPA and Machine Learning.

Responsibilities

• Set the mission and vision of the IT organization and technology agenda to develop a business-oriented culture.
• Lead the development and architecture of the digital IT strategy and roadmap; ensure its integration with the enterprise's strategic planning process.
• Act as a trusted advisor and collaborate with executives and business unit leaders to understand business needs and ensure cost-effective delivery of IT services.
• Participate in assessing external digital opportunities and threats, and internal technology capabilities required for competitive positioning.
• Stay current on new technologies and platforms, providing direction on emerging technologies for integration into the enterprise.
• Provide strategic direction and oversight for the design, development, operation, and support of IT systems and programs.
• Develop and control the annual operating and capital expenditure budget for IT to ensure consistency with strategic objectives.
• Work with HR and the IT leadership team to develop an IT "people strategy" that aligns with business and IT strategy.
• Drive the development of enterprise technology standards, governance processes, and performance metrics.
• Provide strong leadership, coaching, and direction to the IT leadership team and staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• 15+ years of IT experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment, with demonstrable leadership within ERP, manufacturing automation, and supply chain.
• Experience in strategic business/technology roadmap development, architecture, and organizational change.
• Proven experience in leading technology transformation initiatives in complex environments.
• Demonstrated experience in building and leading high-performance teams.
• Ability to make process changes to improve results and implement best-in-class solutions.
