About This Role

This Chief Information Officer role involves leading the group-wide IT organization for an established German industrial company, reporting directly to management. The position is critical for driving the digital future of the company, particularly in managing the ongoing SAP S/4HANA migration and fostering a modern, service-oriented IT culture.

Responsibilities

• Manage the group-wide IT organization and report directly to management
• Manage the SAP S/4HANA project, including roadmap, governance, budget, and stakeholder management
• Manage the IT budget, the IT portfolio, and strategic relationships with suppliers and partners
• Further develop and motivate a team of IT managers, architects, and specialists, and build a modern, service-oriented IT culture
• Act as a trusted sparring partner for management and department heads on all technology-related issues

Requirements

• Several years of experience in senior IT management positions (CIO, IT Manager, Head of IT Department)
• Proven track record of success in managing large-scale ERP migrations, ideally with SAP S/4HANA
• Solid knowledge in the field of industrial IT integration
• Strong leadership qualities and experience in managing and developing large, decentralized IT teams
• Entrepreneurial thinking, a practical attitude, and a feel for the culture of a family business
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, up to the owner and management level
• Fluent German and English skills
