Chief Financial Officer

About This Role

Leading finance and accounting across all of Energy Access Innovations' companies is the core of this executive role. You will own financial strategy, planning, reporting, controls, cash, and capital, helping to shape decisions that drive the next stage of growth. This hands-on position suits a finance leader who wants to build systems and a team that scale with the business.

Responsibilities

• Lead financial strategy, annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning across all entities
• Provide the CEO and executive team with clear financial analysis to support major business decisions
• Evaluate investments, pricing, capital projects, and acquisitions
• Set financial targets and track performance against plan
• Oversee accounting, month-end and year-end close, and consolidated financial reporting for all entities
• Maintain strong internal controls, financial policies, and audit readiness
• Manage relationships with external auditors and tax advisors
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax, and regulatory requirements
• Manage cash flow, working capital, and liquidity
• Lead banking, lending, and investor relationships, including debt and equity financing
• Oversee risk management and insurance programs
• Lead and develop the finance and accounting organization
• Build finance systems, processes, and reporting that scale with the business
• Partner with leaders across the company on budgets, spending, and performance
• Report financial results, risks, and recommendations to the CEO, ownership, and board as applicable

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 15+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience, including 5+ years as a CFO, VP of Finance, or equivalent senior finance leader
• Experience leading finance for a multi-entity company, including consolidated reporting
• Experience with banking relationships, debt financing, and capital raising
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and tax
• Experience in manufacturing, distribution, or consumer products

• CPA and/or MBA
• Experience in solar, energy storage, or electrical products

• Experience with mergers and acquisitions and ERP implementations
