Scottish Youth Parliament
Leading the Scottish Youth Parliament, a respected national organisation with a strong political profile and a proud record of achieving change, is the core of this role. The Chief Executive will help set the strategic direction, turn ambitions into action, and lead and develop the staff team. This opportunity suits a values-led, inclusive, and ambitious leader who believes in youth leadership and is committed to young people's rights, meaningful participation, and social justice.

The Scottish Youth Parliament is the democratically elected voice of Scotland’s young people. It provides a national platform for young people to discuss issues, defend their rights, and influence decisions. Around 160 Members of the Scottish Youth Parliament (MSYPs) represent communities and voluntary organisations across Scotland. The organisation is genuinely youth-led, with campaigns and priorities shaped by young people, and a Board made up entirely of young Trustees aged between 16 and 25. SYP’s campaigns have contributed to Votes at 16, equal marriage, and the incorporation of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child into Scots law.
