About the role
Our Compliance team blends regulatory expertise with data-driven thinking to make sure our products meet legal and policy requirements and deliver real value to customers. In a fast-moving, digital environment, they stay one step ahead by finding smart, scalable ways to manage conduct risk.
We’re looking for an innovative and driven Chief Compliance Officer to lead the Compliance and Financial Crime functions of Revolut Trading Ltd. This will be an SMF 16 role. Our local MLRO will hold the SMF 17 and will report to you.

What you'll be doing
- Serving as the SMF16, providing leadership and oversight of the firm’s regulatory compliance framework
- Maintaining and continually enhancing governance frameworks to ensure appropriate oversight, escalation, and challenge across first and second-line activities
- Developing a trusted and transparent relationship with the FCA and other regulators
- Providing leadership and direction to the Regulatory Compliance, Financial Crime, Assurance, and Regulatory Affairs functions
- Overseeing the planning, risk assessment, and execution of a compliance monitoring plan
- Promoting and embedding adherence to FCA Principles, Consumer Duty, and Conduct Rules throughout the firm
- Collaborating with the global Revolut compliance function to ensure local risk management frameworks and processes are aligned and deliver the intended outcomes
What you'll need
- Previous SMF16 or equivalent leadership experience (including having oversight over compliance and risk functions)
- 12+ years of financial crime and regulatory compliance experience
- Experience working with the FCA or other global regulators (PRA, ECB, JST, FED, OCC, SEC)
- A solid understanding of cross-border booking model expectations and its second-order impacts
- Expertise in providing oversight for a diverse range of financial instruments for retail, business, or eligible counterparties
- Experience working in a multi-asset and multi-jurisdictional regulated organisation that services clients on a cross-border basis
- Expertise in identifying financial crime and regulatory compliance risks and potential vulnerabilities, and advising on best practices
- The ability to build solutions with data to streamline compliance and financial crime processes and oversight
