About This Role

This role involves performing specialized analytics on biological samples using various detection techniques and instrumental analysis, as well as taking responsibility for equipment. The position suits a chemist, biochemist, or food chemist with a focus on analytics, who will also support the department head with administrative tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform specialized analytics in biological samples using various detection techniques, mass spectrometry, photometry, ICP-MS, atomic absorption, and IR spectroscopy
• Take responsibility for equipment
• Plan and conduct method developments and method transfers
• Validate measurement methods, qualify modules and measuring stations
• Create test specifications, SOPs, stability documentation, and risk analyses
• Troubleshoot equipment problems
• Document test results
• Communicate with laboratory diagnostics manufacturers
• Support the department head with administrative tasks in the laboratory

Requirements

• Successfully completed university degree (university/technical college) in chemistry or biochemistry or comparable, with a focus on analytics. Alternatively: CTA training and several years of professional experience
• Sound technical knowledge and practical experience in instrumental analytics (e.g., HPLC, ICP, mass spectrometry)
• Very good technical understanding in handling analytical instruments
• Structured, independent way of working
• Good German and English language skills, both written and spoken
• Initiative, inventiveness, and teamwork skills
• Sense of responsibility, resilience, and commitment
