About the Role
As a Chemical Processing Technician, you will play a vital role in our production facility by ensuring the precise handling, filling, and documentation of liquid chemical products. You will leverage your technical skills to maintain inventory accuracy and quality standards, contributing directly to the efficiency and safety of our manufacturing operations.
Responsibilities
- Execute the accurate weighing and filling of liquid chemical materials into containers following standardized recipes.
- Utilize advanced software systems, including Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and SAP, to manage inventory, track pack-out quantities, and document scrap loss.
- Perform critical quality checks, including material validation and weight-assisted computer verification, to ensure production consistency.
- Manage the end-to-end labeling process, ensuring compliance with specifications and proper application on all containers.
- Secure finished products by performing container crimping and applying tamper-evident seals to maintain product integrity.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace by adhering to rigorous safety protocols and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements.
Qualifications
Required Skills
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs and moving heavy product hoses.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow complex Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Comfortable working in an environment with chemical odors and allergens.
Preferred Skills
- 1+ years of experience specifically within chemical manufacturing.
- Working knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and HACCP principles.
- Experience with SAP or similar enterprise resource planning software.
