About This Role
This full-time Chef role involves preparing, cooking, and serving fresh, nutritious, and high-quality meals for military personnel within a professional catering team. It suits an experienced chef looking for consistent hours and a supportive team environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, cook, and serve fresh, high-quality meals within a busy kitchen environment
- Take pride in the presentation, quality, and consistency of every meal you prepare
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and health & safety standards in line with EHO requirements
- Work as part of a friendly and professional catering team to deliver an efficient service
- Prepare meals for military personnel, ensuring a consistent and enjoyable dining experience
- Keep the kitchen clean, organised, and ready for service
- Support events and special functions, giving you the opportunity to showcase your cooking skills
- Take responsibility for bulk cooking while maintaining high standards across all dishes
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Cook or Chef within a catering, hospitality, or food service environment
- Culinary experience and a genuine passion for preparing good-quality food
- Good knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and health & safety standards
- The ability to work efficiently as part of a busy kitchen team while maintaining high standards
- A positive attitude, good attention to detail, and pride in your work
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook
Nice to have:
- Relevant culinary qualifications such as City & Guilds 706/1 & 2 or NVQ Level 2/3 in Professional Cookery
- IOSH qualification

Important Details
- Schedule: 40 hours per week, 5 days out of 7, various shift patterns (05:30 till 14:00, 11:00 till 19:30)
