About the role
Role: ICU - Intensive Care Unit Charge Nurse (RN) responsible for supervising patient care, unit activities, and staff performance.
Responsibilities: Assists nurse manager/director in coordinating daily operations, evaluates patient needs, assigns tasks, and ensures quality care. Acts as a designee in management's absence, facilitates communication, and supports performance improvement initiatives. Mentors staff, promotes exceptional customer service, and participates in quality projects and committees. Handles immediate issues, provides clinical support, and models organizational values.
Qualifications: Graduation from an accredited nursing school, minimum of 1 year of RN experience, valid Arizona Nursing License, and certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, CPI, and other specialty credentials. BSN preferred.
Skills: Strong leadership, communication, clinical knowledge, and ability to manage patient assignments and unit operations effectively. Demonstrates proactive quality improvement and team mentorship.
