The Opportunity
This position is part of the Channel Emulation & Modeling Solutions team, which develops channel-modeling capabilities and test solutions for advanced wireless systems. The 6G Channel Emulation Solution Engineer contributes to the development of channel models and related test solution functionality for terrestrial and non-terrestrial networks, integrated sensing and communication, massive MIMO and other emerging wireless technologies.
Responsibilities 6G Channel Modeling and Feature Definition
- Develop channel-modeling methods and test-solution concepts for emerging 6G wireless technologies in conducted and OTA chamber test environments.
- Translate standards, research results, customer use cases, and system-level needs into clear feature breakdowns, engineering requirements, and implementation specifications.
- Define model parameters, scenario behavior, interfaces, expected outputs, acceptance criteria, and traceable test cases for channel-modeling applications.
Solution Development and Integration
- Contribute to 6G channel-modeling solution development across use cases such as NTN, sensing, and massive MIMO.
- Specify functional requirements and feature breakdowns for software development and contribute to implementation, verification, and results analysis.
- Support test-solution integration and development for conducted and OTA channel-emulation use cases.
- Apply channel-modeling theory to practical product, test, and customer requirements.
- Collaborate with software, system, research, standards, and customer-facing teams throughout the solution-development lifecycle.
Qualifications
- Master's or doctoral degree in electrical engineering, telecommunications, signal processing, applied physics, or a related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in wireless channel modeling, system simulation, channel emulation, OTA testing, or related wireless R&D.
- Strong understanding of radio propagation and channel-modeling theory, including multipath, fading, Doppler, delay, angular characteristics, MIMO, and antenna concepts.
- Experience in wireless channel modeling, system simulation, channel emulation, OTA testing, or related wireless R&D.
- Ability to translate advanced technical concepts into clear software requirements, model definitions, and test cases.
- Experience with numerical modeling and data analysis using tools such as MATLAB or Python.
- Knowledge of 3GPP channel models, NTN, ISAC, massive MIMO, or OTA methodologies is an advantage.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills in an international R&D environment.
