Position Summary
We are seeking an Outage Management System (OMS) Application Support Engineer to provide operational, maintenance, and technical support for Southern California Edison’s CGI OpenGrid Outage Management System (OMS). This role is responsible for supporting critical utility applications, maintaining system configurations, assisting with infrastructure upgrades, troubleshooting production issues, and partnering with IT teams to ensure the reliability and performance of the OMS platform.
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience supporting CGI OpenGrid (formerly PragmaLINE/PragmaUP) in an electrical utility environment, along with strong SQL, Python, Windows Server, and application support expertise.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide production support and subject matter expertise for the CGI OpenGrid Outage Management System (OMS)
- Support operational activities, customer communications, and OMS-related business processes
- Participate in the team's on-call support rotation and support PST business hours
- Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot OMS application components
- Support database and Windows Server operating system upgrades, including configuration, testing, and deployment activities
- Collaborate with IT teams to maintain and improve application, server, and infrastructure environments
- Perform SQL data analysis and fulfill data requests related to electrical utility events
- Design, administer, and monitor OMS application configurations
- Develop and execute Shell scripts and Python automation scripts
- Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions
- Create and maintain technical documentation, configuration guides, test plans, and operational procedures
- Support application testing, system validation, and production deployments

Required Skills & Experience
- Experience supporting CGI OpenGrid (PragmaUP/PragmaLINE) OMS within an electrical utility or similar environment
- Strong experience providing back-office maintenance and production support for OMS applications
- Experience with SQL databases and database support
- Strong Python scripting experience
- Windows Server administration and operational support
- Experience performing application configuration, testing, and deployment
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Experience supporting mission-critical enterprise applications
- Ability to participate in an on-call support rotation
- Excellent documentation and communication skills
