CFD Engineer - AI Trainer

About This Role

This role involves training and evaluating AI agents on complex fluid simulation tasks. The engineer will work with CAD geometry, set up and run simulations, create verified reference solutions, and develop Python checks for AI agent results.

Responsibilities

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, or a related field such as energy or oil & gas
• Several years of hands-on industry or research CFD experience with OpenFOAM, ANSYS Fluent/CFX or STAR-CCM+, including meshing
• Solid verification and validation practice, including mesh-independence studies and validation against experiment or benchmarks
• Comfortable with Python and GitHub
• English at B2 level or above

Nice to have:

• Aerospace, automotive, offshore or turbomachinery background
• Multiphase or particle-laden flow experience

Important Details

• Schedule: estimated 10–20 hours per week during active phases, based on project requirements (estimate, not a guaranteed workload, and applies only while the project is active)

Compensation

• Contributors can earn up to $69 per hour equivalent, depending on their level and pace of contribution. Compensation varies across projects depending on scope, complexity, and required expertise. Other projects on the platform may offer different earning levels based on their requirements.
