Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPT) - Pharmacy

About This Role

The Certified Pharmacy Technician provides pharmacy services, including preparing pharmaceuticals, managing inventory, conducting compliance audits, handling financial transactions, and offering customer service. Working under the direction of a Pharmacist, this role is part of an interdisciplinary patient care team and involves maintaining pharmacy records.

Responsibilities

• Receive and verify the accuracy and authenticity of prescriptions
• Review and record patient information with their prescription in compliance with General Pharmaceutical Council guidelines
• Provide instructions to educate people on the correct way to take their medicine
• Support the Pharmacist in the daily operation of the pharmacy
• Protect employees and patients by adhering to infection-control protocols and policies
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High School Degree or GED
• Valid ExCPT Certification provided by the National Health Career Association or Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) certification and registration with State Board of Pharmacy (required)

Nice to have:

• Previous experience working in Retail, Ambulatory, Outpatient, Hospital, Acute Care, or Home Infusion Pharmacy
