Wyomissing Health & Rehabilitation Center is seeking a compassionate and motivated PRN Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our in-house rehabilitation team. This is an excellent opportunity for a COTA looking for a flexible schedule while making a meaningful impact on the lives of residents in a Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation setting.
As part of our collaborative therapy team, you'll help residents maximize independence and improve their ability to perform everyday activities while delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.
Responsibilities
- Provide skilled occupational therapy treatments under the direction and supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist.
- Implement individualized treatment plans for short-term rehabilitation and long-term care residents.
- Assist residents in improving activities of daily living (ADLs), upper extremity function, mobility, coordination, and overall independence.
- Monitor resident progress and communicate changes to the supervising Occupational Therapist.
- Educate residents and caregivers on therapeutic exercises, adaptive equipment, and compensatory techniques.
- Complete accurate and timely documentation using Net Health.
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and the interdisciplinary care team to achieve the best possible patient outcomes.
- Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and facility regulations.
Qualifications
- Current Pennsylvania Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license.
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
- Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) or Long-Term Care experience preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Experience with Net Health is a plus.
- Excellent communication, organization, and teamwork skills.
- Passion for delivering compassionate, resident-centered care.
