Job Summary Page Health Care Center is seeking a compassionate and motivated Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) to join our therapy team on a full-time basis. We are a supportive, team-oriented skilled nursing facility dedicated to providing high-quality, resident-centered care.
The ideal candidate is dependable, patient-focused, and passionate about helping residents achieve their highest level of independence and quality of life.
Responsibilities
- Provide occupational therapy treatments under the direction of a licensed Occupational Therapist
- Implement individualized treatment plans to enhance residents’ functional abilities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), mobility, and adaptive techniques
- Accurately document treatments, progress notes, and patient responses in a timely manner
- Monitor resident progress and promptly report changes to the supervising Occupational Therapist
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized treatment environment
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure high-quality resident care
- Comply with all facility policies, state regulations, and professional standards
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- Current Florida COTA license in good standing
- Experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting preferred (new graduates welcome)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Compassionate, reliable, and resident-centered approach to care
