Job Summary The Certified LPN at North Mississippi Health Services plays a vital role in providing a wide variety of nursing functions to support the medical plan of care, adhering to hospital/departmental policies and procedures. Their responsibilities include patient care, documentation, teaching, and performing IV therapy, ensuring age-appropriate care and maintaining positive relations with patients, families, and medical staff. The LPN must possess problem-solving skills to handle stressful situations and respond to changing patient needs effectively.
Job Functions Patient Care:
- Provides a wide variety of nursing functions to support the medical plan of care in compliance with hospital/departmental policies and procedures.
Documentation
- Assist in maintaining patient records through daily nursing summaries, Medicare charting, acute care charting and accurate medication administration records.
- Contributes to nursing care plan.
Teaching
- Provides patient/family teaching necessary for continuing care during and after discharge.
IV Therapy
- Performs IV therapy utilizing hospital guidelines.
