Local CDL A Driver – No Touch / Drop & Hook – $27.50 Per Hour

TransForce is seeking an experienced CDL A Driver to support local operations based in Lacey, WA . This is a temp-to-hire opportunity offering consistent Monday–Friday work, local routes, automatic equipment, and primarily drop-and-hook, no-touch freight.

CDL A Driver Details

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM until completion

Average Shift: 8–10 hours

Expected Hours: 50+ hours per week

Pay: $27.50 per hour

Route Type: Local / Home Daily

Freight: Wooden pallets

Handling: No Touch Freight

Operation: Primarily Drop & Hook

Equipment: Automatic trucks; 53' dry vans and/or flatbeds

Opportunity: Temp-to-Hire

CDL A Driver Responsibilities

• Handle local truckload deliveries between customer facilities and the plant

  • Pick up trailers at customer locations and deliver them to the plant

    • Deliver trailers containing repaired pallets back to customer facilities

      • Perform primarily drop-and-hook operations

        • Complete required paperwork verifying pallet delivery and retrieval

          • Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections

            • Maintain accurate ELD logs and required DOT documentation

              • Operate equipment safely and in accordance with DOT, FMCSA, and company standards

                • Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and operations

                  CDL A Minimum Requirements

                  • Valid CDL A license

                    • Minimum 2 years of previous commercial driving experience

                      • At least 1 year of CDL A driving experience within the past 3 years

                        • Dry van and flatbed experience preferred

                          • TWIC card highly preferred, but not required

                            • No more than 2 moving violations within the past 3 years

                              • Must meet all DOT and FMCSA requirements

                                • Must successfully complete required qualification and road testing

                                  • Must be able to safely maneuver tractor-trailer equipment in customer and plant environments
