Kyle's Kitchen is a local burger, chicken and salad restaurant that has been part of the Santa Barbara and Goleta community for over 10 years. Eat Great Food, Help Great People is our mission and slogan, as we support individuals with special needs, having given back over $300,000 to the special needs community since we were founded.
Kyle’s Kitchen is looking for an outgoing, motivated Catering Manager to grow our catering business throughout the Santa Barbara and Goleta area.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys meeting people, winning new business, and turning first-time customers into long-term accounts. You’ll build relationships with local businesses and organizations, manage existing customers, and help make Kyle’s Kitchen (and Silvergreens) their go-to catering partner.
We already have an established catering business. We’re looking for someone who can help take it to the next level—and earn more as that business grows.
What You’ll Do
- Find and develop new catering customers through prospecting, calls, emails, networking, and relationship building.
- Build recurring accounts with offices, schools, hotels, healthcare organizations, nonprofits, and other local organizations.
- Respond promptly to catering inquiries, prepare quotes and proposals, and follow up to close sales.
- Strengthen existing customer relationships, increase order frequency, and reconnect with past customers.
- Maintain accurate customer records, track your sales pipeline, and work toward revenue and account development goals.
- Confirm complete order details and coordinate a clear, timely handoff to the Catering Production Manager.
- Support the team in the restaurant as needed for catering production
- Follow up after orders to ensure customer satisfaction and encourage repeat business.
- Position will also include Silvergreens catering when it launches.
Your primary focus is sales and account management. However, you will be based at the restaurants and should expect to help support production of catering as necessary.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in catering sales, hospitality sales, business development, or account management preferred.
- Confidence initiating conversations, reaching out to prospective customers, and asking for the business.
- Strong communication, follow-through, and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent organization and attention to detail.
- A self-directed approach and motivation to achieve measurable sales goals.
- A customer service mindset and the ability to work closely with restaurant and catering teams.
- Existing relationships in the Santa Barbara business community are a plus.
Compensation & Earning Opportunity
Our compensation structure rewards both customer retention and new business growth:
- $25/hr
- Tiered commissions, with up to 4% commission on catering sales
- Quarterly performance bonuses
