About This Role
The Catering Manager provides day-to-day leadership for the Catering Team at Buehler's Wooster Milltown, working as a key member of the larger Food Service Leadership team. This role is responsible for the profitability of the Catering Department and for establishing, developing, training, and maintaining exceptional customer service from all catering employees.
Responsibilities
- Organize custom orders and full-service events through effective communications, record keeping, checklists, and follow-through
- Align staffing with an emphasis on recruitment and retention to meet operational needs while making best use of labor
- Work with local rental companies, entertainment services, photographers, and event venues
- Plan ahead for seasonal changes, holidays, special events, and promotions, with particular emphasis on organization and making the most of each opportunity
- Be proactive in defining and resolving both employee and customer issues, communicating well with store associates, customers, subordinates, and others
- Perform related duties as required or assigned
- Work cooperatively with the Catering Director, Food Service Manager, and the larger Food Service Team to develop and deliver a variety of offerings that impress customers
Requirements
- 2-5 years of prior catering experience, preferably managing the operation as a lead or assistant manager
- Available to work 45+ hours per week, including nights and weekends
