About This Role
Catering for students, staff, and visitors at Shireland Collegiate Academy, this role involves managing the catering facilities to provide high-standard, value-for-money meals. The Catering Manager will also create new and varied menus to enhance the lunchtime experience and support extended school activities and events.
Responsibilities
- Provide management of the catering facilities within the Academy to provide students, staff and visitors with value for money meals of a high standard
- Create a new and varied menu which will enhance the lunchtime experience of all our students
- Provide catering to support Extended School activities, Academy events and meetings
- Strive for the continual improvement of the quality of food and service
- Ensure compliance with the requirements of food hygiene regulations, Health and Safety, COSH regulations and risk management
Requirements
- Experience of working in a high-volume catering environment managing a team of staff
- Enhanced Disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS), including a Children’s Barred List check for post carrying out a regulated activity
