About This Role
Caring for patients, caregivers, and communities by upholding the highest standards of detail, quality, and excellence in every meal served is the purpose of this cashier position. The role involves performing cashiering duties, including making cash transactions, verifying the cash drawer, giving change, counting cash receipts, and completing cash reports. It suits a candidate with previous customer service experience who can maintain sanitation standards in food preparation, service, and dining facilities.
Responsibilities
- Perform sales transactions in a timely fashion
- Enter all sales into the cash register to ensure purchases are accurately recorded
- Make change, accept declining balance cards and other acceptable forms of payment; issue receipts to customers
- Follow standard procedures for issuing cash refunds
- Interact with customers and resolve customer complaints in a friendly, service-oriented manner
- Be responsible for all assigned change funds and cash receipts, ensuring that the cash drawer is in compliance with overage/shortage standards
- Observe customer purchases in the cafe line and differentiate between standard portions
- Replenish condiments, coffee, other beverages, and general supplies while maintaining cleanliness of service areas
- Keep pastry case stocked
- Ensure compliance with company service standards and inventory and cash control procedures
- Ensure compliance with all sanitation, ServSafe, and safety requirements
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Previous customer service experience required
- Ability to perform the essential functions of this position satisfactorily with or without a reasonable accommodation
- Florida Level 2 background screening may be required for certain positions
