About This Role
Working as a Cashier for Mission Yogurt at the Grab and Go Counter at Timberline Steaks & Grille, this role involves accurately processing customer orders and payments while providing friendly, efficient service. The Cashier helps maintain an organized front-of-house area and ensures a smooth, positive experience for every guest in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the safety and security of both guests and team members
- Accurately handle cash transactions and process payments using the POS system, making sure the drawer remains balanced throughout the shift
- Assess work-related issues in a professional manner and exercise honest, unbiased judgment
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient and smooth operations
- Address customer concerns and elevate to management if necessary
- Assist with other front-of-house tasks as needed, including taking orders, answering customer questions, and ensuring customer satisfaction
- Clean and sanitize the cashier area regularly, especially during peak times and after customer transactions, and assist with other small tasks as needed
- Restock supplies and ensure inventory is well-maintained
- Adhere to Mission Yogurt's safety, sanitation, and cleanliness policies and practices

Requirements
- Ability to perform in a multi-tasking environment and work creatively with limited resources
- Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively
- Deliver superior food and beverage service and maximize customer satisfaction
- Contribute to a positive work environment through enthusiasm, dedication, and responsiveness
- Ability to handle cash and operate a point-of-sale system accurately and efficiently
- Availability and willingness to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Must be at least 18 years old and legally authorized to work in the U.S.
- Previous experience as a cashier, team member, or in a customer service role
- Strong customer service skills and a passion for the hospitality industry
- Experience working in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
- Basic food preparation skills or a willingness to learn
- Must be able to work on your feet for up to 12 hours
- Position requires prolonged standing, bending, stooping, twisting, reaching overhead, and lifting products and supplies weighing 20 pounds, and occasional lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds, as well as repetitive hand and wrist motion
