Duties
- Operate the cash register accurately, handling all retail sales transactions with efficiency and integrity
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting shoppers warmly, answering questions, and offering product recommendations
- Conduct product demos to showcase features and benefits, encouraging upselling opportunities
- Manage cash drawer handling with precision, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed at all times
- Assist with stocking shelves and merchandising to keep the store organized, attractive, and fully stocked
- Promote store products through effective upselling techniques while maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor
- Maintain phone etiquette when assisting customers over the phone or in person, ensuring clear communication and positive interactions
Experience
- Previous cashiering experience in a retail or grocery store environment is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are valued highly
- Familiarity with POS (Point of Sale) systems and cash register operations is advantageous
- Experience supervising or leading others can be a plus for those interested in growth opportunities
- Bilingual skills are highly desirable to serve diverse customer needs effectively
- Strong communication skills, basic math proficiency, and excellent customer service abilities are essential for success in this role
- Knowledge of retail store product knowledge, merchandising, and grocery store operations will help you excel in assisting customers and managing daily tasks
