Client Overview Our client is an established organization specializing in fire protection and life safety products and solutions. The company provides products and services designed to help protect commercial and industrial buildings and infrastructure. They are currently looking to add a Cash Applications Specialist to their team.
Salary/Hourly Rate $21/hr - $24/hr
Position Overview Our client is seeking a Cash Applications Specialist for a temporary assignment to provide coverage during a medical leave. This position is expected to last approximately 1 - 2 months. The ideal candidate will have hands-on cash applications experience and be dependable, detail-oriented, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced accounting environment.
Responsibilities Of The Cash Applications Specialist
- Process and apply customer payments accurately and promptly.
- Apply cash receipts to the appropriate customer accounts and invoices.
- Research and resolve payment discrepancies and unapplied cash.
- Review customer account information and ensure accurate payment posting.
- Assist with account reconciliations and cash application-related issues.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation.
- Work closely with the Accounts Receivable team to resolve discrepancies.
- Follow established processes and procedures to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Perform additional Accounts Receivable duties as needed.
Required Experience/Skills For The Cash Applications Specialist
- Hands-on cash applications experience.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to quickly learn and work with proprietary software.
Preferred Experience/Skills For The Cash Applications Specialist
- Experience with D&B (Dun & Bradstreet).
- Additional Accounts Receivable experience.
- Experience working in a high-volume cash applications environment.
