Caseworker

About This Role

Supporting people in need by assessing casework applications is the core of the Caseworker position. The role suits individuals with experience in the charity or not-for-profit sector, particularly in social care, health care, or community development.

Responsibilities

• Support people in need by assessing casework applications efficiently
• Allocate awarded funds in line with donor aims and fund criteria
• Ensure decisions are transparent and well managed
• Identify and apply to relevant organizations and individuals for additional support
• Partner and collaborate with the Senior Leadership Team to research and source in-house and external funds
• Ensure alignment of casework with the charity's mission, vision, and values
• Meet specific fund targets agreed by the Senior Leadership Team

Requirements

• Proven experience in the charity or not-for-profit sector
• Knowledge of various welfare benefits available to individuals and families
• Ability to empathize with clients and communicate sensitively
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to make decisions, multi-task, and prioritize effectively
• Ability to write accurately and produce concise written reports
• Excellent standard of IT skills, including Microsoft Office
• Full driving license and access to own transport
