Responsibilities
As a PCA, you’ll provide essential support with daily living activities, including:
- Personal care: bathing, dressing, shaving, etc.
- Medication reminders
- Assisting with range of motion exercises
- Helping with mobility around the home
- Providing dementia care
- Light housekeeping: vacuuming, dishes, laundry, bed linens, etc.
- Preparing meals and snacks
- Accompanying clients on errands or medical appointments
- Offering companionship through conversation, music, puzzles, and more
Requirements
- High school diploma or G.E.D.
- Minimum 6 months of experience as a HHA/PCA in home care or healthcare facilities
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (insured vehicle or adequate public transit access)
