Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and reliable Caregiver to join our team. This full-time position offers TWTH 10 am to 4 pm shifts and requires candidates to have a valid driver’s license. As a Caregiver, you will deliver essential personal and supportive care, ensuring our clients’ safety, comfort, and well-being through engaging and attentive service.
Duties
- Provide compassionate assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Monitor patients’ health by observing vital signs and reporting any changes promptly
- Assist with medication administration following care plans and HIPAA regulations
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences
- Support clients with light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe environment
- Use manual handling equipment like Hoyer lifts to ensure safe transfers and mobility support
- Engage in patient observation to identify any health concerns or behavioral changes requiring attention
Skills
- Prior experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or neurodevelopmental disorders is highly desirable
- Knowledge of dementia, Alzheimer’s, memory care, and hospice or palliative care practices
- Familiarity with assisted living or long-term care environments
- Ability to accurately monitor vital signs and assist with medication management
- Strong communication skills for effective patient interaction and documentation
- Experience working with residents who have autism or other intellectual disabilities
- Competency in emergency response procedures including CPR and first aid certification
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and assist with manual handling tasks as needed
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure client confidentiality at all times
