Caregiver - Assisted Living

About This Role

This caregiver role at Bell Tower Residence involves providing hands-on support with daily living activities for residents in an assisted living setting. The position focuses on personal care, medication assistance, meal support, and mobility, while promoting resident dignity and independence. Responsibilities

• Perform all services required of a CNA, including providing nursing and nursing-related services to individuals with cognitive impairments
• Conduct initial and ongoing data collection on all patients/residents under the direction of the Registered Nurse/Licensed Practical Nurse
• Implement a plan of care based on patient/resident physical, psychosocial, cultural, ethnic, and religious/spiritual needs
• Provide direct patient/resident care and report condition and changes to an RN or LPN
• Demonstrate knowledge of, and respect for the rights, dignity, and individuality of each resident in all interactions
• Actively maintain the confidentiality of resident and facility information
• Demonstrate respect for co-workers and respond to needs of residents by complying with facility policies on attendance and punctuality, arriving and beginning work on time
• Have working knowledge and ability to comply with facility policies and procedures for workplace safety, including infection control procedures, application of universal precautions for bloodborne pathogens, use of personal protective equipment, and handling of hazardous materials
• Demonstrate time management and prioritization of tasks
• Document results of patient/resident care within established policies, procedures, and scope of practice

Requirements

• Must have good communication skills
• Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English

Important Details

• Employment type: full-time, part-time, or casual
• Schedule: Days (6:00am-2:00pm), PMs (2:00pm-10:00pm), or NOCs (10:00pm – 6:00am) - every other weekend, rotating holidays
