About the role
Career Support Navigator
Pay: $28.50/hour
Schedule: Monday through Friday 9am-5pm
The Career Support Navigator provides coaching, mentoring, and career development support to applicants, interns, and employees participating in the Human Services Career Support (HSCS) Program and other career advancement initiatives. This role helps individuals explore career opportunities, overcome barriers, access education and training, and build the skills needed for professional growth in the behavioral health and human services field.

What You’ll Do:
- Support applicants, interns, and employees with career exploration, development, and advancement.
- Screen applicants and connect individuals with appropriate employment, internship, and training opportunities.
- Build relationships with colleges, universities, community organizations, and workforce partners.
- Connect participants with mentors, career pathways, training programs, and educational resources.
- Identify barriers to employment and career advancement and help develop individualized solutions and support.
- Coordinate career-focused activities such as workshops, career days, panels, and job-shadowing opportunities.
- Connect employees and interns with resources such as ESL, GED, digital literacy, and other professional development programs.
- Provide coaching, training, guidance, and ongoing support to participants and mentors.
- Track participation, engagement, and outcomes and prepare reports and presentations.
- Travel frequently to Seven Hills program locations and community partner sites.

Bachelor's degree in psychology or sociology preferred or 5 years of equivalent experience

Standard driver’s license – class C or class D

3 – 5 years of related experience
- Ability to use strength-based and individualized case management skills.
- Experience in case management or job counseling.
- Ability to form positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to use online reporting to report outcomes for each participant.
- Skilled at crisis management, problem-solving and mediation.
- Ability to facilitate trainings in a cross-cultural environment. Cross-cultural sensitivity and knowledge, and ability and desire to work with other cultures.
