About the role
Role: Cardiovascular Technologist supporting physicians in diagnosing and treating heart, lung, and blood vessel disorders through invasive and non-invasive tests.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate x-ray and physiological equipment, assist with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
- Maintain equipment, record test results, and ensure safety protocols are followed.
- Monitor patient vital signs during procedures, apply aseptic techniques, and uphold infection control standards.
- Handle specialized cardiovascular equipment such as C-Arms and angiographic injectors, perform troubleshooting and preventive maintenance.
- Assist physicians during procedures, administer contrast media via catheter or injection, and document appropriately.
- Ensure the work area is stocked, clean, and disinfected after each use; perform general office duties as needed.
Qualifications & Skills
- Associate's Degree or equivalent experience preferred; one year of catheterization experience is advantageous.
- Required certifications include ARRT-R, Oregon Radiologic Technologist License, BLS, and ACLS or ARC-ALS.
- Proficient in operating specialized equipment, monitoring patient safety, and applying sterile techniques.
- Strong troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, and ability to follow safety standards are essential.
