Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Cardiac Surgery/RN (Cardiovascular Operating Room Nurse) to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide care to patients undergoing cardiovascular surgery, assist surgeons during procedures, and ensure a safe and sterile operating room environment.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assist cardiovascular surgeons during procedures, including open-heart surgeries, heart transplants, and valve replacements
- Monitor patients' vitals before, during, and after surgery
- Administer medications and anesthesia as needed
- Maintain a sterile operating room environment
- Educate patients and their families on post-operative care
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Qualifications and Skills:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing
- RN license in the state of practice
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Prior experience in a cardiovascular operating room setting preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-stress environment
- Attention to detail and critical thinking skills
