About the role
Role Overview: The CT Technologist applies expertise to deliver safe, high-quality imaging at Acworth Health Park, supporting patient care within a collaborative team.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform CT procedures following department guidelines, ensuring diagnostic image quality while maintaining safety and dose protocols (ALARA).
- Operate imaging equipment independently, adjusting techniques as needed, and maintain infection control standards.
- Obtain clinical history, verify orders, and ensure patient safety through proper identification and preparation.
- Explain procedures using AIDET, address patient questions, and promote comfort and safety throughout visits.
- Administer contrast agents, position patients correctly, and apply appropriate safety measures such as shielding and immobilization.
- Review, repeat, and finalize images, ensuring diagnostic quality and proper documentation in RIS/PACS systems.
- Monitor patient condition, respond to emergencies, and assist with equipment maintenance and restocking.
- Organize workflows efficiently, support departmental operations, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
Qualifications & Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
- Minimum one year of radiology experience.
- Certifications: ARRT - R (Radiography), ARRT - CT (Computed Tomography), and BLS (American Heart Association).
