About the role
Position Overview: The CT Technologist delivers high-quality imaging and ensures a supportive patient experience at Acworth Health Park . They operate imaging equipment independently, capturing diagnostic images while maintaining safety and minimizing radiation exposure (ALARA).
Responsibilities Include
- Performing CT procedures per department guidelines, adjusting techniques for optimal results.
- Cleaning, disinfecting, and maintaining equipment and rooms, reporting issues promptly.
- Gathering clinical history, verifying patient identity and orders, and explaining procedures to patients using AIDET.
- Ensuring patient comfort, privacy, and safety, while providing age-appropriate care.
- Administering contrast agents via venipuncture, positioning patients, and applying shielding.
- Reviewing images for quality, repeating exams if necessary, and completing accurate documentation in RIS/PACS.
- Monitoring patient condition, responding to emergencies, and maintaining equipment and supplies.
- Supporting department workflows, adhering to regulatory standards, and escalating issues when needed.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
- Minimum of 1 year radiology experience.
- Certifications: ARRT in Radiography and CT, BLS from American Heart Association.
Skills and Qualities: Technical proficiency in CT imaging, patient-centered communication, attention to safety and infection control, and strong organizational skills to support department operations.
