Cardiac CT Technologist

Role Overview: The CT Technologist applies expertise to deliver safe, high-quality imaging and a supportive patient experience. They are essential members of a collaborative care team, performing CT procedures according to departmental guidelines while maintaining diagnostic quality and patient safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform CT exams, adjusting techniques to optimize image quality and minimize radiation dose (ALARA).
• Operate imaging equipment independently, ensuring proper patient positioning, safety, and comfort.
• Obtain clinical history, verify orders, and communicate procedures clearly using AIDET to reduce patient anxiety.
• Administer contrast agents using sterile techniques when necessary, and review images for diagnostic acceptability.
• Complete accurate documentation, ensure proper image storage and retrieval, and support departmental workflow.
• Maintain equipment, disinfect rooms, respond to emergencies, and support infection control protocols.
• Assist with operational tasks, including patient transport, supplies management, and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications & Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Minimum one year of radiology experience.
• Certifications in ARRT (Radiography and CT) and BLS from the American Heart Association.
