About the role
The CT Technologist is responsible for delivering high-quality imaging and ensuring a positive patient experience at Acworth Health Park . They operate imaging equipment independently, capture diagnostic images while adhering to safety protocols, and adjust techniques to minimize radiation exposure ( ALARA ).
Key duties include performing CT procedures, maintaining equipment hygiene, obtaining patient history, explaining procedures using AIDET, and ensuring patient comfort and safety. They administer contrast agents, position patients correctly, and review images for diagnostic quality, repeating exams when necessary. Accurate and timely documentation in RIS/PACS is essential.
Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program, at least one year of radiology experience, and certifications in ARRT-R, ARRT-CT, and BLS. Skills required are technical proficiency, attention to detail, patient communication, and emergency response capability.
