About the role
Role Overview This position is for a Cardiac Cath Lab Registered Nurse responsible for providing direct patient care, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within established nursing standards. The nurse will utilize critical thinking and clinical expertise to monitor patients' hemodynamic, neurologic, and respiratory responses during procedures, administer conscious sedation, and manage airway needs. Emphasis is placed on patient advocacy, safety, and education of patients and families about illness management and post-treatment care.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote patient and family-centered care, ensuring safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team and patients.
- Assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, respecting patient values and cultural considerations.
- Participate in professional development activities and continuous quality improvement.
Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum Education: Nursing Diploma/Associate's Degree; preferred Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
- Licensure: Valid RN license.
- Experience: Cardiac Cath experience and at least 2 years of bedside nursing preferred.
- Additional Requirements: Ability to work safely, live within 30 minutes of the hospital for call duties.
