Fund for the Public Interest
Caring for public interest issues is the main goal of this canvasser role, which involves working out of a campaign office in one of a dozen cities. Canvassers go into communities to talk to people, raise awareness, build membership, and raise money for partner organizations. This role is also available as a field manager position, which includes daily canvassing, working with the canvass director to meet office goals, and building additional skills.
Fund for the Public Interest has been running canvass offices for more than 40 years, working on pressing campaigns and issues. They partner with groups like Environment America and PIRG to address pollution, save wildlife and wild places, and remove pesticides from the food supply.
Fund for the Public Interest is a national, non-profit organization that runs campaigns for America’s leading environmental and public interest organizations.
