Responsibilities

• Conduct face-to-face conversations with community members through door-to-door canvassing to promote programs or gather feedback
• Engage residents in outdoor settings using strong conversational skills to explain initiatives clearly and persuasively
• Utilize mobile devices to record interactions, update contact information, and track outreach progress in real-time
• Identify opportunities for community involvement, fundraising, or support by building rapport with diverse audiences
• Support team supervisors by providing feedback on community responses and outreach effectiveness
• Represent the organization professionally during outdoor work, demonstrating excellent communication skills and community engagement experience

Requirements

• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage in meaningful conversations face-to-face
• Experience in customer service, fundraising, or community engagement highly desirable
• Ability to walk extensively outdoors in various weather conditions
• Reliable transportation on foot or via mobile devices
• Bilingual abilities are a plus to connect with diverse populations effectively
• Demonstrated ability to supervise or lead small teams is advantageous but not required
• Outgoing personality with confidence in negotiation and telemarketing techniques when appropriate
