Call Center Receptionist

About This Role

This role involves answering incoming calls for 18 centers, greeting patients, scheduling appointments, handling inquiries, and maintaining patient records. The Receptionist ensures a smooth and welcoming experience for patients and supports the medical team with administrative tasks, typically working on routine assignments. The position supports a physician practice or center.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors, both in person and over the phone
• Manage appointment calendars, schedule patient visits, and coordinate with medical staff to improve schedules
• Maintain patient records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality
• Work in Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems
• Answer incoming calls, respond to patient inquiries, and provide general information
• Ensure the work area is tidy, sanitized, and well-stocked with necessary materials
• Help with other administrative tasks, as instructed by manager

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on improving patient experiences and care
• Excellent customer service and phone etiquette
• Team player with a positive attitude
• Experience documenting customer issues in detail and experience resolving issues and requests by phone, email, and chat
• Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access)

Nice to have:

• 1 year or more of experience working in a Healthcare setting preferred, but will consider candidates with a Customer Service background in Retail Hospitality, Call Centers, etc.
• Value-based care model experience
• Knowledge of Medical Terminology
• Experience with EMR Systems (Electronic Medical Records)
• Bilingual in English and Spanish

Important Details

• Schedule: 40 hours per week

Additional Information

• This role is patient-facing and runs the Tuberculosis (TB) screening program. If selected for this role, the company will require you to screen for TB.
