Cable Technician

We are seeking a skilled Data Network Telecom Specialist to support installation, maintenance, and repair of telecommunications and network systems. This role involves working with a wide range of communication equipment, coordinating with vendors and contractors, and ensuring reliable network infrastructure across multiple sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule services including installations, repairs, removals, and preventative maintenance with vendors, contractors, and internal teams.
• Lead and execute new installations, upgrades, and repair projects related to network and telecommunications equipment.
• Supervise contractor and vendor activities to ensure quality and timely project completion.
• Install, configure, maintain, and repair various communication and electronic equipment such as routers, switches, video systems, printers, security systems, and related devices.
• Perform installation, splicing, testing, and termination of telecommunications cabling including copper, fiber, and coaxial systems.
• Maintain accurate inventory of equipment and ensure proper system functionality and connectivity.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of experience as a Cable Technician, including installation and maintenance of telecommunications or computer systems.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a Lead Cable Technician or supervisory role.

Preferred Qualifications

• Technical training or education in electronics, telecommunications, or computer systems (may substitute for 1 year of required experience).
• Certified Fiber Optic Technician (CFOT) certification.
• BICSI certification.
