About the role
We are seeking a talented C++ Systems Engineer to join our core R&D group and lead the development of enterprise-grade distributed storage solutions. In this role, you will design and optimize low-level software components, network file protocols, and clustered storage environments. This position is ideal for a developer with strong computer science foundations who excels at low-level performance tuning, complex data integrity challenges, and building high-availability architectures.
Core Responsibilities
- Storage Systems Development: Architect, implement, and maintain high-performance C++ software modules for distributed file systems and enterprise storage platforms.
- Protocol Engineering: Implement and fine-tune network file-sharing protocols ( NFSv3/v4, SMB/CIFS, S3 ) for maximum throughput and low latency.
- Clustered Reliability: Troubleshoot and resolve deep architectural challenges related to concurrency, data resilience, fault tolerance, and performance in clustered environments.
- Code Quality & Testing: Maintain exceptional code standards by expanding Python test suites, raising code coverage, enforcing static analysis, and eliminating memory leaks.
- Cross-Functional Synergy: Partner closely with Core Engineering, Platform/HW, UI/API, and QA teams to deliver scalable enterprise features.
- System Optimization: Track and optimize system behavior under intense I/O workloads and highly concurrent traffic conditions.
- Technical Ownership: Author technical design specifications and contribute directly to system architecture decisions regarding high availability (HA).
What You’ll Bring
- 3–7 years of professional hands-on software development experience using modern C++ .
- Education: B.Sc. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or an equivalent technical degree.
- Code Navigation: Demonstrated capability to quickly read, comprehend, and extend large-scale, legacy codebases.
- Analytical Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills with a strong self-learning capability and the drive to operate independently.
- Collaboration: Strong team-first attitude combined with natural technical leadership qualities.
