About the role
We are looking for an experienced Buyer - CAPEX to manage capital procurement activities, support project execution, and drive cost optimization through strategic sourcing and supplier management. The role involves tendering, contract negotiation, vendor selection, and collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end CAPEX procurement activities and tendering processes.
- Select suppliers, evaluate bids, and conduct commercial negotiations.
- Negotiate and draft contracts aligned with company policies and procurement standards.
- Perform cost analysis, benchmarking, and TCO optimization.
- Ensure procurement timelines, compliance, and governance approvals are met.
- Build supplier relationships and identify new sourcing opportunities.
- Collaborate with Project, Engineering, Finance, Legal, and Operations teams.
Required Skills & Experience
- Experience in CAPEX Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, or Contract Management.
- Strong negotiation, supplier management, and cost management skills.
- Knowledge of capital equipment procurement and project contracting.
- Understanding of industrial environments such as Steel, Manufacturing, or Heavy Engineering.
- Proficiency in SAP, Ariba, Ivalua, and MS Office.
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
