About the role
Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled and analytical Buyer to join our Global Procurement team. The role will support strategic sourcing initiatives, supplier management, spend analysis, contract management, and cost optimization programs across procurement categories. The ideal candidate should possess strong negotiation skills, stakeholder management capabilities, and experience in procurement within industrial or manufacturing environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end sourcing and procurement projects from RFQ preparation through supplier selection and contract implementation.
- Prepare and manage tender documentation, specifications, pricing schedules, KPIs, and procurement reports.
- Execute category and sourcing strategies to optimize cost, quality, and service levels.
- Conduct supplier evaluations, market research, benchmarking, and spend analysis.
- Support contract negotiation, contract compliance monitoring, and supplier performance management.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Prepare business cases, TCO analyses, savings reports, and management presentations.
- Drive procurement savings initiatives and support category performance targets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Operations, Finance, Legal, Engineering, and Plant stakeholders.
- Participate in procurement transformation, process improvement, and global sourcing projects.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering with relevant procurement experience OR
- Master's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Procurement, or Business Administration.
- 3+ years of procurement experience for Master's degree holders or 5+ years for Bachelor's degree holders.
- Experience in strategic sourcing, supplier management, contract management, and procurement analytics.
- Exposure to manufacturing, heavy engineering, metallurgical, mechanical, steel, or industrial sectors preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Fluent English communication skills.
